Feds raid Mar a Lago - All things Trump

And worse and worse and worse.

The special prosecutor hired by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to pursue the criminal case against former President Donald Trump bought tickets for Willis to accompany him on at least two out-of-state trips, records released Friday show.
A Friday motion filed in Cobb County Superior Court by Joycelyn Wade in her divorce case with the special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, includes copies of credit card statements that show he purchased airline tickets for him and Willis, including trips to Miami in October 2022 and San Francisco in April 2023.

The five-second clip was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by the Biden-Harris HQ account, which is run by Joe Biden's re-election campaign. In the footage, taken from conservative outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network, Trump comments: "You don't have to be a total genius, remain in Mexico, until you've..." at which point he becomes unintelligible for the final two seconds. The Biden-Harris HQ account wrote: "Trump slurs his words while ranting: In Mexico until [unintelligible]."

He's in bad shape. The ramble he did on Nikki the other night was beyond ridiculous. He was rambling on and on about how she was in charge of the Capital in January 6th and the like.

It was all about Pelosi, but he was saying it was Nikki.

Two of Donald Trump’s political action committees spent nearly $29 million combined on legal fees during the last six months of 2023, new filings show, underscoring the financial costs of the former president’s mounting legal troubles.
It’s an expense the front-runner for the GOP’s presidential nomination is having his political contributors share.
In all, Save America PAC and Make America Great Again PAC spent more than $50 million of contributors’ money on legal expenses last year, according to Federal Election Commission records. That spending has depleted the reserves of Save America, Trump’s once-flush leadership PAC. More than 70% of Save America’s spending during the last half of 2023 went toward legal costs, and it ended the year with about $5.1 million remaining in the bank.
A Trump campaign aide did not immediately respond Wednesday evening to CNN’s inquiry about the spending.
The New York Times first reported that the Trump PACs’ legal spending was expected to total roughly $50 million for the year.
Holy shit!

"We cannot accept former President Trump's claim that a president has unbounded authority to commit crimes that would neutralise the most fundamental check on executive power - the recognition and implementation of election results," the three-judge appeals court panel wrote in its opinion.

It added: "For the purpose of this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defences of any other criminal defendant."

My favorite part:

It would be a striking paradox if the President, who alone is vested with the constitutional duty to ‘take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed', were the sole officer capable of defying those laws with impunity.

Trump's first criminal trial for the hush money payments starts March 25th.

Trump's attorneys were crying rivers over it, but the judge wasn't hearing it.
