Possibly so...
That's what's played out in the past up to now, and it might just as well continue, based on that logic.
However, that's all things equal. That's presuming, things turn around? IF Biden and the Dems are successful? As Wolff has pointed out candidly so well, and articulated, as well as so many others; the centrist neoliberal train (It's really Reaganomics we all know), is simply an incremental conservative approach; that has created the conditions, that got us here 'now', which put Trump in to begin with, and will put a Trump successor back in the white house in 4-8 years, if it fails.
40 years of this crap, is what's brought us down to our knees to the standard across the nation where we are now. We create more billionaires growing in the field than good paying middle class jobs, with good benefits, or Union paying jobs, or college students free from 50-100K of student loan debt, cops that beat the hell out of people, veterans who sleep on floors defending politicians who are then kicked out into the capital hill parking garage by GOPers, we create more mass evictions than any country in the world, etc.
Shall I go on?
Here's another thing? Supposedly, Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden did a deal on bankruptcy reform. He gave into her 100% on what she originally wanted. How come I'm not hearing anything about it? Or what it was?
And, it seems that, it must be going to be an important thing coming soon in the future, soon down the road?
I would say on the other hand, it could be given the tread that those DSA folks will only grow in membership. That membership will and indicator of the rest of the population on the left out there "who don't join" of what their thinking.
To sum this up..... WE HAVE TO keep the pressure up from the Left, no matter what the outcome. Why? because, IF we don't the conservatives, big business, weak democrats, Joe Manchin types, and obviously Mitch McConnell with his billionaire friends will try to steam roll over the top of Joe Biden. Period. --- That's why. If Joe doesn't feel counter pressure, he may feel inclined to back down and compromise to them.
