Clarence Thomas and the Billionaire

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday expressed support for the Supreme Court's chief justice as Democrats urge him to investigate luxury trips taken by Justice Clarence Thomas that were paid for by a Republican donor.

Well that's a twist

To be fair, how can he not?

This SCOTUS is the lowest rated, most hated and most corrupt in the history of the United States. John Roberts name is going to be all over it in the history books.

I'm sure he thought at one point he was going to be the second coming of Oliver Wendell Holmes, but that ship has already sailed.

Roberts has to do something so that he doesn't go down as an enabler. He's already well on his way to that and he knows it.

I'm actually surprised.

Chief Justice John Roberts has declined to directly respond to a congressional request to investigate Justice Clarence Thomas’ alleged ethical lapses.
Roberts instead referred the request from Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin to the Judicial Conference, which serves as the policy-making body of the federal courts.
I really thought he cared about his legacy. Obviously, he does not. He, like Kavanagh and Thomas, will be forever written into the history books as corrupt, morally bankrupt judges.

"I write seeking information related to reports of undisclosed gifts and payments for the personal benefit of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, including private real estate transactions and the complimentary use of your private jet and superyacht," Wyden wrote. "This unprecedented arrangement between a wealthy benefactor and a Supreme Court justice raises serious concerns related to federal tax and ethics laws."
