Clarence Thomas and the Billionaire

A week after the first report on Crow's funding of Thomas' travel was published, ProPublica revealed that Crow purchased two vacant lots and the home where Thomas' mother lived, all owned by Thomas and his family, in Savannah, Georgia in 2014.

The purchase, completed for $133,363, marked "the first known instance of money flowing from Crow to the Supreme Court justice," the news outlet reported.

Federal disclosure laws state that in most cases, Supreme Court justices and other government officials must disclose real estate transactions over $1,000.

"Thomas did not disclose the purchase as required by law. He must be impeached," said Democratic strategist Sawyer Hackett.

And there's nothing at all illegal about any of it.

Immoral? Sure. Illegal? No.

Either way it doesn't matter because there is no code of conduct for judges.

People are just shouting at the rain over it all.

Edit to add: TECHNICALLY, the failure to report the sale of the house was illegal, but at best it would be a civil penalty if any at all.

Following the latest ProPublica report, Whitehouse is pushing for Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate Thomas. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a government watchdog organization, noted Friday that, under the Ethics in Government Act, the attorney general can bring civil actions for knowingly and willfully falsifying or knowingly and willfully failing to file or report any information that such individual is required to report, with civil penalties up to $50,000 and the possibility of criminal sanctions as well.

Clearance Thomass is a rubber stamp.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas drew gasps on Monday when he asked several questions during oral arguments.

Thomas, who hadn't asked a question since Feb. 22, 2006, broke 10 years of near silence during a case, Voisine v. U.S., involving a federal law preventing people convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from owning firearms.

Tell me again how he's not an MAGA/NRA mouthpiece.
