The Comedy Thread - Jokes, Cartoons, Whatever

We laugh, but...

The banging noises they heard were not the men banging on the sub to be heard. First off, the hull is made of carbon fiber, so the sound wouldn't be a bang, but more of a dull thud if that. Titanium doesn't make much of a ringing sound either. It's like aluminum in that regard and sounds more like a dead thud.

Secondly, they didn't have anything to bang with other than a monitor or PlayStation controller. Not even shoes were allowed in the sub, so it's not like they had a hammer lying around.

They lost contact one hour and 45 minutes in or thereabouts. I think they made it down to Titanic and were viewing it. I think they either did something stupid, like try to go inside the hull, or they just got too close and the current pushed them into it and they got stuck. I think the banging noises were the men throwing their collective weight against either side of the sub trying to rock it loose, and the sound was Titanic's steel hitting the sub but not letting them go.

I think they'll find the sub down there, right on or in Titanic.

There's lots of noises in the sea that do not sound like marine life to the un-initiated.

Sperm Whale

Humpbacks

Leopard Seal

Snapping Shrimp

Iceberg running aground

Red October Caterpillar Drive
