My dog is a wuss.

Just got back. They'll call this afternoon when he's "ready".

We have him on a plan, so the lady is telling me,"Everything is covered except for pain medication for home. Those run about 25 dollars."

I said ok, let's add those.

She comes back with,"And a cone of shame. That's not covered either. Dog his size it runs about 20 dollars."

I busted out laughing on the cone of shame. Cosmo just looked at me like,"DUDE!!!"

Guess you had to be there.

They just called. Getting him ready they ran a blood test and he's got a bit of iron anemia.

It never ends with this dog.

So a supplement and more pricey anesthesia is required.

This dog is a bigger money pit than my Vmax ever was.

Insurance?
Yeah. We have him on a pet plan. We pay 50 dollars per month but most things are covered. All the surgery is covered. The only thing we're paying for is the cone of shame, a special catheter he needed, a vitamin supplement he needs and the pain meds.

I think we'll wind up paying around 80 to 100 dollars for it all. Typically, it's closer to 600 for a dog his size.
