How do the two of those relate? To me, they don't. Maybe it's me that's the dumbass because I can't connect the two.

To me, it's simple: Joe doesn't want 1400 dollar stimulus checks going to people making 300,000 dollars. That's all he said. That's all the article you posted said.

Dude, you're certainly allowed to have an opinion. And I'm pretty sure, up here, I could find people, very quickly, who would agree with you that class/income/race etc should have no-bearing when it comes to the government helping it's citizens.

And I might even agree with you if government ran a surplus and the past debt was being managed, but the truth is it isn't being managed and there is no surplus. The handouts have a real cost to everyone in the end.

And this isn't a pre-established medical-related item (Medicare), nor is it even the guaranteed retirement income (Social Security). This is a pandemic-induced, time-limited, spending designed to help the hardest hit.

So while it be nice to say give everyone a million dollars, prudence dictates else-wise in these financial times.


But I see no reason for you to leave.

Well, hard to argue against that completely.

He's a rare one. He's a conservative Democrat.

For me though, it's not he that caused this issue. In fact, I agree with him. Someone making over a quarter million dollars doesn't need a stimulus check.

Kamala Harris created this entire debacle by opening her mouth to his constituents. That was stupid on an epic level. If that is how she's going to conduct herself as VP, I'm sorry I ever advocated for her.

Had she said that to an open forum of reporters from CNN, CBS, ABC, FOX, etc., it wouldn't have been any big deal. But she dialed straight into West Virginia into his district to screw him over.

We need him a lot more than we need her. That is a fact. If she pisses Joe off, we lose our majority because we'll never get to a 50-50 vote for Harris to even matter.

VP Harris needs to learn her place. Quickly.

Many people have yet to realize just how powerful a single Democratic Senator's vote is right now and how much of a liability they can become.
