January 6th Committee.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol said Monday it will hold a surprise hearing on Tuesday to “present recently obtained evidence and receive witness testimony.”

It was not immediately clear whom the committee plans to interview and what topics lawmakers intend to focus on. The decision announced on Monday was shrouded in secrecy, with staff and committee members explicitly asked to go dark and not speak with media, according to two people involved with the investigation.

According to Punchbowl News managing editor Heather Caygle, Hutchinson will walk through some of the things she's also said in the two meetings with the committee totaling 20 hours of conversations under oath.

Three people familiar with the investigation told the Washington Post that the reason for the secrecy "is in part due to credible security threats to a witness."

Among the thing she revealed are conversations between Donald Trump and White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, who conveyed to the president that his Jan. 6 plot doing was illegal.

I just got my coffee and was reading about that.

Apparently, when she was giving depositions before, she was represented by an attorney with close ties to Trump.

When they subpoenad her, they wanted her to take the same hard stance as Meadows and others and refuse, but she didn't want to risk getting a contempt charge so she fired the Trump lawyer and got her own.

Also of note:

Turns out they seized Eastman's phone the same day they stormed Clark's house.

Eastman spilled the beans by filing suit against the FBI ordering them to give it back and destroy anything they found on it.

Yeah. Good luck with that, asshole.
