Feds raid Mar a Lago - All things Trump

Oh boy. Shit is about to get real. It's worse than I thought:

Atlanta-area prosecutors investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia are in possession of text messages and emails directly connecting members of Donald Trump’s legal team to the early January 2021 voting system breach in Coffee County, sources tell CNN.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is expected to seek charges against more than a dozen individuals when her team presents its case before a grand jury next week. Several individuals involved in the voting systems breach in Coffee County are among those who may face charges in the sprawling criminal probe.
Investigators in the Georgia criminal probe have long suspected the breach was not an organic effort sprung from sympathetic Trump supporters in rural and heavily Republican Coffee County – a county Trump won by nearly 70% of the vote. They have gathered evidence indicating it was a top-down push by Trump’s team to access sensitive voting software, according to people familiar with the situation.
Trump allies attempted to access voting systems after the 2020 election as part of the broader push to produce evidence that could back up the former president’s baseless claims of widespread fraud.
I knew they had video of several Georgia election officials illegally going into the polling place with one of the fake electors, but I didn't know about this at all until this morning.

That means it's probably Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman and/or Sidney Powell that they've got the records of guiding this whole thing.

If that's the case, they are well and truly fucked. Clear to Mars.

The one thing that concerns me: that happened in Coffee County. How does she have any jurisdiction over that?

The only thing I can think of is that it's part of the conspiracy charge. She would have to show that when Trump called SOS Raffensberger, that started the attempt to overturn the Georgia election. The SOS's office is in Fulton County, her turf. She could be using this attempt in Coffee County, engineered it seems by Trump's circle of lawyers, as part of the criminal conspiracy that began in Fulton County the day Trump made that now infamous call.

That's about as far as my thinking takes me.

I would believe your assessment regarding conspiracy is correct.

And if it is conspiracy among different jurisdictions how does that proceed? I cant imagine it's really just first to file charges.

If I'm right and they're saying the conspiracy began in Fulton County the day Trump called Raffensperger, then that's it. DA Willis has complete autonomy.

As far as Coffee County goes, all they have are several people illegally entering a polling station and messing with the voting machines. At best its a trespassing charge. Election interference doesn't enter into it because the election was long over by that point.

If my theory is right, DA Willis can follow it to the ends of the earth and she has jurisdiction. She can charge anybody, anywhere, that had anything to do with it.

That means the lawyers, wherever they live, Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, the fake electors across the state of Georgia...

Everybody can get it right in the ass from the top on down regardless of where they are.

That's an old one but good one. I remember hearing that one as a kid in Junior High School. It was usually told in a barrage of rooster jokes, most of which I can't remember. I do remember this one that was told in line with that one:

What's the difference between a rooster and a whore?

A rooster says "cock a doodle do", a whore says "any cockle do".
