Elon Musk now owns Twitter

Saw that.

So he's lost CBC, NPR and PBS that I know of so far with BBC on the fence.

It's going to be so enjoyable watching him go completely broke. I'll be serving up schadenfreude with coffee all fucking day long.

It’s unclear whether the change in language constitutes any change in the policy itself. As of Tuesday, Twitter’s report function still allows users to report a tweet for “misgendering or deadnaming” a person or a group of people.

Twitter responded to a request for comment with the Pile of Poo emoji, an automated message it now sends as a reply to all media requests.

Everybody's marks are now gone unless they're paying for them.

It's so funny to see some nobody with a paid blue checkmark commenting on a Paul McCartney post who doesn't have one anymore.

What a complete fucking farce.

Wow!

Twitter advertising dollars have plunged 89% since billionaire Elon Musk bought the social media platform in October, Bloomberg reported, and as a result, revenue has dropped by half.
Twitter has seen a slight uptick in daily users since early 2022, the report said, but advertisers have not returned to the site amid the ongoing upheaval at the company. Since Musk took over Twitter in October, he’s slashed jobs by about 75%, leaving the company with less than 2,000 employees, and most of the content management team gone.
Last week, Musk valued the company at just $20 billion, less than half of what he paid for it.
And the "slight uptick in users" are bots. He has allowed them to move unchecked on the platform. They're just awful now, at least 10 times worse than they were before he took over.

But again, it's projection - he accused Twitter of being nothing but bots then he takes over and fills it with bots pushing his own right wing narrative.
