COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — Nine youths - including a 5-year-old child - were wounded after shots rang out at a gas station in a Georgia city bordering Alabama, authorities said Saturday.

The victims, whose names were not released, ranged in age from 5 to 17. Seven males and two females were hurt, police said. As of Saturday afternoon, at least four had been discharged from hospitals where they were treated, Blackmon said.

Update on this I just saw on the news:

Apparently, it was a house party where an argument spilled out into the street, then the shots started being fired and it all wound up migrating to the gas station which was basically right next door.

None of the injuries are life threatening. Everybody has already been discharged and are back home.

Incredibly lucky. If anything makes you do a double take on "is there a God", this is one of them.

What they haven't released yet is that the gunman heard the Nashville Police arrive and shot at them from a second story window. To their credit, NPD didn't hesitate for a second. They charged straight in, followed the sound of the gunfire and killed the gunman.

Nashville Police were called at 10:13 AM.
5 officers arrived on scene at 10:24 AM.
Shooter was declared dead at 10:27 AM.

Louisville shooter identified as bank employee Connor Sturgeon

The Louisville shooter has been identified as 23-year-old bank employee Connor Sturgeon.

The chief said the shooter was live-streaming the incident on social media, and that police are hopeful that they will be able to have that footage removed.

The victims were identified as Tommy Elliot, 63, Jim Tutt, 64, Josh Barrett, 40, and Julianna Farmer, 57.

One of the responding officers was grazed on his left side while the other suffered a limited elbow injury. One of the officers was struck in the head – 26-year-old Nicholas Wilt, who graduated from the police academy on 31 March.
