Here’s what Republicans are planning in the event Joe Biden wins re-election and Democrats hold the Senate and take the House this November.

First, Republicans need to make sure they’re in control of the House of Representatives on January 6th, 2025, when the new president will be certified.

To do that, even though Democrats might have won enough seats to take back the House in the 2024 election, Speaker Johnson will refuse to swear into Congress on January 3rd a handful of those Democrats, claiming there are “irregularities” in their elections that must be first investigated.

Consider that Johnson is still refusing to swear in Tom Suozzi (who recently won George Santos’ old seat), something Johnson apparently did to maintain enough Republican-majority votes to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas. (Johnson says they’ll swear him in this coming Thursday, but nobody’s holding their breath.)

Like Mitch McConnell withholding Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court for over a year, withholding certification of a handful of Democrats would be easy, legal, and completely immoral. There’s nothing Democrats can legally do to stop Speaker Johnson from pulling this off: he can postpone swearing a member in for as long as he wants.

That keeps Speaker “MAGA Moscow Mike” Johnson in charge of the House, so they can also refuse to accept the Electoral College certificates of election from a handful of states where they claim there are “problems.”

Keep in mind, Johnson was the guy who organized the wave of 138 House members who voted not to certify Joe Biden’s election in January of 2020. That’s why Trump wanted him as speaker.

That's not even remotely possible and whoever came up with it is an idiot.

The certification is done by a joint session, meaning the Senate and House.

It is run by the Vice President.

As speaker,, Johnson has no say in the matter at all and nothing he does or refuses to do will matter.
 
Again, they can't. It doesn't work that way. The House doesn't do jack shit when it comes to certifying an election other than witness it. They can't even object to the certification unless their complaint is signed by a Senator. The entire thing is run by the Senate, in this case a Democratic controlled Senate with a Democratic Vice President running the show.

It will not matter. The VP can still shut them down. He (or she) runs it. Again, watch the video. Democrats tried doing the same thing. Biden wasn't having any of it. It will be no different this time around with Harris.

And to his credit, Pence did the same exact thing. He simply shut the bullshit down.
 
But what would happen if someone did say "the form is not regualr and not authentic'? It's a very specific set of words typical of a formal declaration.

Yo, I'm simply asking. It sounds like a formal declaration so I'm curious what would happen if someone said they were not regular? I know formal declarations were very specific in the military and there were consequences for not saying them or lying.
So, what happens if? You can't have someone make a formal declaration without consequences.

Same thing.

There are checks and balances. It wouldn't take very long before they found out he really wasn't a general and had lied with the aide of the colonel and it would be over for the both of them. Permanently.

That's why they can try to protest all they want, but once they're told to shut the fuck up and sit down, that's it. It's over.

This is NOT a very difficult thing to understand. It's the same reason they all lie to the news but never under oath. They will go to prison for it.

That is why that scenario was never used by Trump: THE KNEW IT WOULD NEVER, EVER HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL OF WORKING.

And if anybody was ever going to try it, they would have.
 
OK, let's take the Georgia case. Let's say you (like Trump) wanted to change the outcome of the Georgia election in your favor. Here's how that would have to work:
  • You would first have to have the Secretary of State sign off on it. (In Georgia's case, that's Brad Raffensperger)
  • You would also need his Chief Operating Officer, Gabriel Sterling, to sign off on it.
  • Those two would have to get the State Senate and House to sign off on it.
  • Then the entire thing would have to be signed off on by Governor Brian Kemp.
  • Before any of that happened, all the poll workers, counters, etc. would have to sign off on it.
  • The certified electors would have to sign off on it.
THEN you would have your congressman and Senator present that to the Vice President during the certification.

That, in and of itself, is impossible. There's simply no way on earth you can ever make that happen. That's why they tried the fake electors scam - to try to simply replace the votes that Vice President Pence would count.

It never had a chance of working though, because the instant the Georgia totals were read, our Democratic Congressmen and Senators would have stood up and shouted "FOUL"! And with nothing more than a phone call to Raffensperger it would all be over.

The level of conspiracy it would take to change a states electoral votes is simply impossible to achieve. You would have a far, far easier time of getting the state to secede from the union again than pull off a conspiracy that would literally involve nearly a thousand people, democrat and republican and independent all in together, by the time it's all said and done.
