So there's this:

Ford’s Mustang Mach-E, the automaker’s bold bet to lead its transformation into selling more electric vehicles, replaced the Tesla Model 3 as Consumer Reports’ “Top Pick” for an electric vehicle in 2022.
The designation is further validation of CEO Jim Farley’s belief Ford can not only compete with Tesla but also beat Elon Musk when it comes to EVs.

And then there's this:

Tesla Inc. sank toward the bottom of Consumer Reports’ newest annual auto brand rankings, weighed down by poorly received design changes and reliability problems.
The electric-car maker placed No. 23 out of 32 brands on the 2021 list, down seven spots from the year before, Consumer Reports said Thursday.
Looks like the last three years of taping cars together to make deliveries and shit-tweeting promises you never keep are finally starting to catch up with Tesla.
Yeah. They are stupid expensive. The sad part really is that there's no need for them to be. They just are because the powers that be don't want people driving electric cars. Big oil still has a whole lot of power, especially in this country.

And with electric rates what they are, for the price of a Tesla you can buy a new Volvo S60 and it's actually about the same carbon footprint since most of our power comes from coal and natural gas to this day.
