From the little I know some Microsoft Flight sim servers have people playing a dedicated ATC/Tower role in some airports for realism.
And to help control the chaos there would be without.

Just checked. ATC is a new feature in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 edition.

I would buy that game today if I knew I could just log on to that server and sit there listening. I'm fucking serious. That's the most fun I've had with a video game in years and I wasn't even playing the damn thing.

Same here. That's why I tend to believe that was a group of friends cutting up and staging it rather than a random game.

Although I have had some good, comic gold game sessions in War Thunder and Diablo III.
