I remember seeing him several years ago on 60 minutes. I remembered thinking that maybe this guy was OK. He was talking about expanding women's rights, trying to bring the populace into the 21st century, etc.

Well, you have to take that with a grain of salt. The "intelligence officer" fled the county because he was going to be arrested.
