I had no idea he was that old. He was 86. Man, time just flies by.


I still liked him best in a very small roll he did in the movie 'Dave' where he gets to balance the United States Budget. (He's just a run of the mill CPA.)

Of course 'Midnight Run' is about as classic Grodin as you get.

He's an un-credit. It was in his IMDB bio. He was a "drummer boy" iirc.
Now I've GOT to find that.

That's the only movie I remember seeing with my father (not my dad) as a child. We went to a matinee and saw it. I think I was 4 or 5 years old. I remember the seats were red and he told us (my brother was there as well) if we rocked the seats back and forth the movie would start faster.

Of course, we rocked like hell.

I also remember being scared to death in the squid scene. It's one of the last memories I have of my father before he was gone and I wouldn't see him again for decades.

Every time I see that movie I think of him.

Love 20000 leagues under the sea. Great movie. I hated the remake of it. It was god awful.
