So after the Yamaha debacle, I've decided that this old Gibson ES 355 my late father gave me is going to get completely overhauled. I've just finished completely gutting it:

Going out: All the garbage factory Gibson shit.

Going out: All the garbage factory Gibson shit.
Going in:
- Vintage '50's wiring rig with oil filed capacitors by David Jones at Jonesyblues.com
- Custom built open faced PAF humbuckers by DiMarzio. I'm hoping they arrive before Christmas, but there's no guarantee. I'm about 12th in line at the custom shop.
- Gold Grover Keystone Rotomatic tuners from Stewart McDonald.
- Other miscellaneous parts such as new bone nut, lining the pickup cavity with copper foil, new pins for the old Bigsby and a rework on the mounting of the Bigsby as it was about 4mm off center from the factory and a new truss rod cover I'm having made as a tribute to my late father.
