Trying to be at least somewhat useful, I've been cleaning out some old crap from the computer room when I came across the old Neverwinter Nights 2 DVD. That was a pretty cool game back in the day.

Originally, my buddy Frank talked me into getting it because, according to him, it was sort of like the old D&D and ICE roll playing games we played as kids. He wasn't wrong.

Being a game from 2006, I didn't hold out much hope of it actually working, but much to my surprise there's a rather staunch online preservation community. Took forever getting it updated, but here we are:

Is that single player? I actually have an online accout for Neverwinter somewhere.

I think it has an option for multi-player, but the servers that used to serve it were shut down long ago. I'm not sure if it has its own serve a game capability or not.

It does have it's own ability to host games, and there's options to create or join "internet games" but the lobby, hosted on Game Spy which I'm not even sure exists anymore, doesn't seem to work. There's even a direct connect version where you enter the ip and hostname.

As extensive as the online community is, I'm pretty sure that somewhere somebody is hosting games. But that's getting way ahead of where I am as I have NO IDEA what I'm doing.
