Rep. Jeff Fortenberry announced in a YouTube video he expected the charges.

Apparently, Jeff Fortenberry (R. Nebraska) figured the FBI would let him off the hook if he cooperated with them.

He thought wrong.

Nebraska GOP Rep. Fortenberry indicted

The Justice Department said that Fortenberry repeatedly lied to and misled authorities during an investigation into illegal contributions to his reelection campaign.

A federal grand jury indicted Rep. Jeff Fortenberry on Tuesday, alleging that the Nebraska GOP congressman concealed information and made false statements to authorities.​
