My beloved BMW

Going through a bunch of old CD's and files organizing the pictures for Plex and came across my old, beloved BMW. This was taken right when we bought the house I think.

Not a day goes by I don't think about this car.

I like that old style a lot better than the new ones. I can hardly tell a BMW from a Nissan from a Acura from a Volvo anymore.

A friends younger brother got into rebuilding 2000 series in the late 70's. What I remember was the 6 bbl carb he got from somewhere which essentially looked like a six pack with the tops and bottoms taken off and jammed onto the engine. The thing ran liked greased lightening.

I always wanted a 70's pickup. Dad had a 72 Ford F100 for decades that I absolutely loved. I wanted that truck so bad. Some asshole stole it.

A high school buddy of mine had one that his dad gave him. A '72 GT, white with gold strip kit. I worked a good bit on it. It had a 351 Cleveland we built a bit, Edelbrock intake with a 750 Holley DP, Cheetah transmission and a 3:73 rear end with ladder bars. That thing would roll.

I don't know though. Those came with an option for an inline hemi if memory serves. Still, the electric concept on a classic car is really, really cool.

Do you have the page of the writeup of this or is it just the picture you came across?

It was just a picture someone took and posted to reddit.

As to the year, no. I'm pretty sure its a BMW New Class (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_New_Class) but I am failing to find one with that exact sidelight shape (although it could look off due to the angle)
