Except I hear Dems now murmuring about losing this now. There was a female who's name I didn't catch.
People are making a far bigger deal out of it than it is. They always do.
Democrats were in a nearly perpetual filibuster the entire Trump administration. It didn't matter, things still got done. The tax break was not passed. They used a budget adjustment to do it.
Most legislation Trump did went that way. Biden can do the same thing. In fact, they've been working on how to budget adjust the ENTIRE 1.9 trillion dollar covid relief plan since before Biden took office. (It's actually very involved and takes a LOT of jumping through hoops to get right.)
I don't lose any sleep over it.

Simple. For the Dems put up or shut up. 50/50 is shit. You got what you got. You didn't really truly win the majority, you still got mitch. That's what you get for not really truly getting clear vast majority win. Next time, ( 2 years from now ) do your job. Bench Schumer from his Senate campaign job, like everyone in the senate wants to do, and get their asses out there next time and clearly win the damn majority, like they told everyone they were going to do this time around !!

And, that's exactly what I mean, clearly as that. The Dems have got to knock the shit off. They screamed about down ballot ticket races, and nothing but that. They benched other people behind the scenes, and tweaked everyone in the DNC around them for it. And, nothing could make up for "their" incompetence for the seats they lost, that should have won.
It's a damn miracle they won the 2 seats in GA. ( and a lot of very hard work of people down there ); and they deserve a pat on the back for that down there, to be for sure. There are a lot of people who did deserve pats on the back for what they have done.
But, there are some up in the DNC on the Senate ( and Schumer is in charge of it, the Senate Campaign side of things, and everyone in the Senate has been complaining for some time now, for a while about it, saying that it's costed them seats in the past ).
Someone has to do something in Nov 2022, because if you don't, your chances of keeping the majority in house is going to be difficult; the odds are not going to be in your favor. Nancy Pelosi has even said.
There needs to be a shake up before 2022.
He needs to be benched, and major change of strategy or tactics to win. "Flat Out Win the damn Majority, Period !! Either by 53-55 seats!"

So in other words, rather than Schumer playing by the rules, hearing arguments and then saying no, you'd rather him act like a MAGA asshole and say, "SCREW YOU LOSERS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! WE WIN!!!! HOW'S IT FEEL, ASSHOLES?!?!"

We're on day 6 of the Biden administration and everybody is acting like we're in the middle of year 3.
Schumer so far has done the right thing. He heard out all of McConnel's demands and then told him simply, "no". Now McConnel has had to turn over control to Schumer and off we go.
Taking 5 days to do that is a whole lot faster than the three weeks it took the last time.
