Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan won’t hold a third speaker vote today, sources tell CNN, as he has struggled to flip Republican holdouts and was at risk of bleeding more support.
He is now also leaning toward backing a resolution to empower interim Speaker Patrick McHenry, sources said, but wants to see how today's House Republican Conference meeting goes.
Heading into the meeting, Jordan would not tell CNN what he plans to do and said he wants to talk to his colleagues first.
