Just now, in a continuation of that event, he talked about the attack briefly, praised several people including a woman who was right in the thick of it and went on to talk about policy in New York.
"This cashless bail thing has just got to stop. A 90 year old lady was killed a few days ago by two men who were out on cashless bail. These two men are part of a Mexican drug cartel. They were caught with 1.7 million dollars worth of crystal meth. Now, this whole cashless bail thing was created allegedly so that somebody wouldn't wind up sitting in jail for weeks or months on end simply because they couldn't afford a small cash bail amount. Well, I'm sorry, but if you're a member of a Mexican drug cartel, and you're carrying 1.7 million dollars worth of crystal meth, and you didn't think to put some money aside for bail just in case, then that's on you. You're a bad businessman, and a very bad drug dealer."
Gotta admit: I like this guy.
