I watched the Indianapolis 500 yesterday. I'll forego the once again boring finish under 4 red flags.
At one point there was a pretty bad wreck that slammed a car into the wall at turn 4. Normally, the wheel tethers keep the wheels from flying off the cars, but in this case something instantly snapped / sliced the wheel tether and the right rear wheel went flying over the fence, barely clearing the grand stands and into God only knew where.
Later in the race, they reported that the wheel, along with half the front suspension of that side, had landed on a white car in the parking lot pretty much total lossing it.
