Francis Scott Key Bridge is gone.

Something I didn't notice on the video that someone has highlighted: the ship lost power while approaching the bridge. You'll see the power go out and the ship drifts sort of sideways a bit. Then you see the power come back on and smoke starts boiling out of it (obviously, they knew they were going to hit the bridge and were desperately trying to avoid it) but then they lose power again then hit the bridge.

I'm willing to bet that the FBI and NTSB are pouring over the maintenance records of that ship as we speak.

I noticed that in the original....
Initially I thought they were going into flash mode as part of a collision alert (if there was one).

Pretty specific place to lose power...

The Dali, a larger container ship operated by Singaporean firm Synergy Marine Group, previously ran into a loading pier in Antwerp in 2016 as it was attempting to leave the port, the newspaper reports. Nobody was injured as a result of that incident, although the front of the boat was damaged. An investigation blamed the ship’s pilot and master for errors that led to the crash.
