So my old Volvo is having issues with the fuel pump and some leakage, so I ordered all new stuff from FCP Euro.

On the site it states that "most orders ship same day". So I ordered. Their prices aren't bad either. I placed the order before they even opened on Tuesday morning. So I figured it would ship out that day or in a worst case scenario, by Wednesday.

Nope.

Nothing.

So this morning, I wanted to cancel the order and just order it from IPD, who I've dealt with before. I should have just bought from them to begin with, but I'm an idiot for wanting to save a few bucks.

So here's how it goes with trying to cancel the order:

They have a chat bot. It is not a good chat bot. In fact, it is a complete fucking idiot chat bot. Here's the exchange:

(7:47:35 AM) Me: Cancel my order. It's been two days and still hasn't shipped. I'll buy it from IPD and they'll ship it today.​
(7:47:37 AM) Julia: Thanks for the information! A specialist will be with you shortly.​
(7:47:54 AM) Julia: Hi there, thanks for reaching out to FCP Euro. I am happy to help.​
(7:48:25 AM) Julia: Thanks for the information you've provided! I am going to forward your message to a Specialist that can better help you with this. Someone will be in touch within 24 hours. Thank you for your patience.​
(7:48:40 AM) Me: This is bullshit.​
(7:48:51 AM) Me: I will never, ever order from you idiots again.​

So I finally get an email:

Thanks for contacting FCP Euro!​
I apologize for any trouble. Can you please provide the order number so I can look into this?​
I look forward to your reply.​

I give him the order number and tell him this:
This order was placed Tuesday morning before you opened. It said everything was in stock. Your sight says you ship same day. You had all day long Tuesday, all day long Wednesday and now here we are on Thursday and not one single thing has shipped.​

and he comes back with this:

I apologize for any sort of confusion here. The fuel filter, MAH-KL257, you ordered shows on our site that it ships in 2 business days. This means we have to wait 2 business days to receive the part from our vendor before we can ship this order. Unfortunately, I am unable to cancel this order at this time due to it being fully processed. This has no choice but to ship and you will receive tracking in a separate email once that leaves our facility.​
Right about there, I lose it. I just told him it had already been two business days and change, and apparently, he didn't bother reading at all. So I hit him with this:

So you held up an entire order over a damn fuel filter? Are you SERIOUS?! Do you realize that the pump, float and all could have been changed and the car back in service by now because the fuel filter is right underneath the rear wheel and takes 10 minutes to change?​
Yeah. You will never, ever get another order from me. That is the most moronic thing I've ever heard. One more thing: if it doesn't ship TODAY, I'll call my credit card company and cancel the payment. I'm sick of this shit.​

Of course, he retorts:

I do apologize for any confusion here but if there are any lead times on parts, we do have to wait for them to arrive before we can ship the order to you.​
If you'd like to return the order, feel free to fill out a return form and include this in the box with the parts. Once we get the parts back, we can process a refund for you.​
If you file a chargeback, you will no longer be able to place orders with us. That goes for any company you file a chargeback with.​
Still oblivious to the fact that not only did his site say they had it all in stock, but even if he needed two days it's already been two days, I hit him with this:

Let's review what you just said:​
This means we have to wait 2 business days to receive the part from our vendor before we can ship this order.​
You've had two business days. Two complete, full business days. THIS IS DAY THREE. If it doesn't ship today, I WILL cancel it via my credit card company. If you don't have the filter, ship what you have and cancel the filter. One way or the other, the order you have had BETTER SHIP TODAY!!!

The reply about 12 minutes later:

So, yeah. Lying all along. It was all there the entire time, they were just too fucking lazy to put the shit in a box and ship it.

UPDATE:

So as of yesterday, the tracking number was STILL not in UPS' system. It just said "label created". I called UPS and discussed the matter with them and they assured me that FCP Euro never, ever gave them that shipment. That was it for me.

I called Citibank and cancelled payment. They have already credited my account.

Then I went to IPD (where I normally buy our Volvo parts) and ordered the same stuff. Wound up paying more for it, but guess what?

It shipped last night. It's in the system already at UPS as 'on the way'. It'll be here Friday, just in time for the weekend to do the repairs.

I filed complaints against FCP Euro with their local BBB and the FTC.

I've seen label created alerts before (especially with the government online cannabis orders). However, usually within an hour or two they get converted to package.

Well, this label was created last Thursday. Even today it still just says label created.

And when I went to the BBB site in Connecticut to file the complaint, the very first complaint in the list was for the very same thing. A guy had paid extra for expedited shipping and they didn't ship it for days.

Of course the company responded by blaming UPS and saying they didn't update their shipping until it arrived at his house days late.

Yeah. Sure. Right.

I've dealt with UPS for decades and only had that happen on one occasion - when the item from Amazon was delivered the same day it was ordered.
