Elon Musk now owns Twitter

I have to admit to being enthralled during his fast prototyping with the Space-X vehicles. And the western Australian power system was another project that captivated me. And both completely different companies to boot.

But even I have to agree his shine is dulling badly with this latest venture into social media and politics.
Fair enough.

Elon Musk’s Tesla is set to conduct layoffs and freeze further hiring as the electric car maker contends with a sustained downturn in its stock price, according to a report Wednesday.
Tesla informed employees about the hiring freeze and said “another wave of layoffs is coming next quarter,” Electrek reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many employees and which departments at Tesla will be impacted by the pink slips.
Once again everybody else is made to pay for Elon's stupidity.

Interestingly Ford is going through a bit of this now with the EV trucks and our 'northern' temperatures.

However, they proactively reached out to owners with methods to help deal with the situation as soon as it became apparent batteries in extreme cold had reduced ranges.

And the hits just keep on coming.

A commercial landlord is suing Twitter for breach of contract after the company allegedly failed to pay rent for one of its offices in San Francisco.
The lawsuit concerns Twitter’s office space at 650 California Street, not its main headquarters on Market Street. But it comes after media reports last month said Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, had stopped paying rent on Twitter’s office space globally — including for its headquarters — and had told employees not to pay company vendors, in an apparent effort to cut costs.
