If he does that, it will be the straw that breaks China's back. They'll throw him under the bus for that.

I don't think he's right. I don't think it's about where money is sent / diverted / whatever. I think it's about money, full stop.

With all the gas embargoes and pipelines shutting down, it's the gas companies that are losing more money than anybody. What's more, they're the primary oligarchs who have lost access to large amounts of money, their huge private yachts, etc. as they are directly targeted by sanctions.

I think what's been going on is that Putin's loyalist have been finding out about plots by these people to get rid of him, so Putin is simply playing whack-a-mole to get rid of all the dissenters before any of their plans to get rid of him come to fruition.

If you'll remember, Hitler did the same thing when that first big assassination attempt on him failed: there was a full on purge of anybody and everybody that even MIGHT have been remotely involved in it.

I think that's what has happened. Either an attempt or two has already been made that we don't know about, or plans of them have been found out about and Putin is simply purging everybody he even thinks has or had anything to do with it.

The stat of the decade:

I'm thinking that was a small tactical force that used C4 on the lower bridge crossing and simply used the tankers on the upper bridge.

Cheap, highly risky, but very effective and very well done.
