Same shit happens everywhere. A drunk wife of an American Diplomat drove on the wrong side of the rode in England and killed a kid. She flees back to the States and cites diplomatic immunity.
A drunker than hell German does the same thing here and runs back to Germany.
And now we have sanctioned murder.
It's bullshit.
Diplomatic Immunity is supposed to cover things you aren't aware of. In the United States, ignorance of the law is no excuse. But for Diplomats it is, because how are they really supposed to know?
It was supposed to cover things like turning left on red, parking in a handicap zone, bitch slapping someone that insulted you, things of that nature. It was never intended to be issued carte blanche.
