Ukraine / Russia Thread

A curious 'container' that Ukrainian troops captured today looks to actually represent a significant Russian loss and a potential intelligence goldmine. What Ukraine's forces found looks to be a containerized command post that is part of the Krasukha-4 mobile electronic warfare system. The Krasukha-4 is primarily designed to detect and jam large radars, such as those on airborne early warning and control aircraft, such as the U.S. Air Force's E-3 Sentry, and spy satellites.

Ukrainian forces reportedly found this command post container outside of the capital Kyiv. Twitter user @UAWeapons was among the first to identify it as most likely being a component of the Krasukha-4 system, which is also known by nomenclature 1RL257, based on a picture that had emerged online. A complete Krasukha-4 consists of two vehicles, both based on the 8x8 KAMAZ-6350 truck, one with the electronic warfare (EW) system and the other carrying the command post module.

A man carried out a firebomb attack against the Kremlin by flinging Molotov cocktails against its walls.

A video of the attack, which has been circulating on Russian media channels, was initially posted by a TikTok user called @den_di1232.

The clip is taken by a man inside a moving vehicle and appears to show the moment an unknown assailant tries to lob the improvised explosive device over the walls of Russian President Vladimir Putin's official residence.

As the attacker attempts to throw the bottle over the wall of the well-guarded fortress, it smashes against the bricks - causing a small fire and leaving a massive scorch mark.

A tactic used elsewhere in Ukraine.

One of Europe’s largest food storage facilities has been destroyed in Ukraine.

Brovary, 20 kilometres northeast of the country's capital Kyiv, is home to multiple warehouses and has been targeted by Russian shelling. The Mayor of the city, Iho Saposhko, is convinced this attack was planned even before the war started.

“It wasn’t an accident. It was intentional. The entire food warehouse and 50,000 tonnes of food were destroyed,” says Saposhko.

The Moskva, pride of the Russian Navy, has sunk in the black sea.

The Russians say that a fire broke out and the ammunition detonated and the ship was evacuated and eventually sank in a storm being towed back to port.

The Ukrainians say that they hit it with a Neptune anti-ship missile and sank it.

Who you believe is entirely up to you, but the fact that the Russian's have backed up their entire Black Sea fleet an additional 30+ miles from the Ukrainian coast tends to make me think the Ukrainians are telling the truth.
