Yep. The instant he started running around the other side of the truck he was a dead man. I can hear it now. I was in fear for my life because he might have had a weapon stashed under the fenderwell he was running towards blah, blah, fuckity blah.
I've never been able to figure out how any cop got away with being afraid for his life when the guy he shot was running the hell away from him. It's a bullshit argument. Imagine if I woke up to find someone in my house so I chased him out of the house and shot him halfway down the damn street. They'd lock my ass up.
I actually had a police officer tell me years ago that if I ever shot someone, make sure they're in your house.

They need to do this coast to coast. I'm so sick to death of what policing has become. They act like they're still in Afghanistan.
Come to think of it, I'd be willing to bet that were there more foreign involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States would be neck deep in war crimes charges.
