Finland's leaders announce support for joining NATO
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has given his public support for the Nordic country joining NATO -- a symbolic move that could bring an end to its decades-long ambivalence about membership of the military alliance.

Finland's president and prime minister announced their support for joining NATO on Thursday, moving the Nordic nation which shares an 800-mile border with Russia one step closer to membership of the US-led military alliance.
So if Putin's logic for invading Ukraine was to stop them from becoming a member of NATO, looks like Finland is next.
