So just over 100 years later we're still as unprepared and stupid as we were then; if not more so.
This time though, there is only one big fat orange idiot to point a finger at for you guys.

Germany will stop paying compensation to unvaccinated workers who are forced into quarantine by coronavirus measures as it is unfair to ask taxpayers to subsidise those who refuse to get inoculated, Health Minister Jens Spahn said on Wednesday.
The requirement for vaccine passports in higher-risk settings is acceptable during a pandemic, the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has found.
“While receiving a COVID-19 vaccine remains voluntary, the OHRC takes the position that mandating and requiring proof of vaccination to protect people at work or when receiving services is generally permissible under the Human Rights Code (Code) as long as protections are put in place to make sure people who are unable to be vaccinated for Code-related reasons are reasonably accommodated,” it said in a statement Wednesday. “This applies to all organizations.”
Quebec Premier François Legault says he will introduce a special bill to prevent anti-vaccination protests in front of places such as schools and hospitals because his "patience had reached its limit."
"It's important to leave our children and our patients in peace," Legault told a group of reporters at Quebec's National Assembly on Wednesday.
"It doesn't make sense that [people] are trying to intimidate our children."
