Wargaming stealth nerfed the Fletcher DD

Wow. That's a pretty significant reduction in travel.

I've never been a fan of the destroyer in World of Warships for several reasons. Endless amounts of torpedoes is one, the ridiculous ability to vanish right before your very eyes is another.

That said, a nerf of that magnitude especially with no discussion on it is simply ridiculous. I conservatively estimate that they took about 20 degrees of fire angle out.

The real problem when you think about it isn't that they decided to do it, but that if they decided to do it then it must have been ridiculously wrong to begin with.

But that's the same with all things Wargaming: make something stupidly OP, let people buy it hand over fist and play it to death, then nerf the flying bejesus out of it and introduce the next OP vehicle.

They've been doing it since day one. How anybody can be surprised at this point is beyond me.

Remember the Type 59? Talk about a bullshit gaming mechanic. That thing was fucking untouchable. Then of course it went from untouchable to roman candle with one patch.

I remember one night not long after the turret armor nerf me, Vladimirs Revenge and Shaguar were platooned up playing a few games.

Vlad was in his 704 tank destroyer and one shot this guy in a 59.

That guy lost his mind, yelled cheats, went off the hinges the rest of the game. It was hysterical.

So that game ends, we lost actually, and we go on to the next.

And lo and behold there's that same guy on the enemy team. He immediately starts flooding the chat with cries of cheats, hacks, calling Vlad every name in the book.

Then it got calmed down a bit, everyone is concentrating and that guy rolls right out in front of Vlad's 704 and he one shot him again.

Oh man it was glorious. Everyone was laughing on both teams. That guy went ballistic. I'll send replays, I'll report hacks and on and on.

Ahhhh good times.
