Trump Turns Off The Lights.

For days now protests have raged across the nation. Hundreds have been arrested, dozens have been hurt, untold hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars of damage have been done.

And there is no end in sight.

President Trump has been, at best, useless. At worst, he’s actually been an instigator of the riots, egging people on.
Here is his first tweet this morning, just moments ago:

EDIT: He deleted the tweet by the time I finished typing this article but I was able to copy and paste the text from the preview:
Sleep Joe Biden’s people are so Radical Left that they are working to get the Anarchists out of jail, and probably more. Joe doesn’t know anything about it, he is clueless, but they will be the real power, not Joe. They will be calling the shots! Big tax increases for all, Plus!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 1, 2020
Trump tweet that was deleted.
Wow. Just wow. No message of unity, or understanding, or peace. No requests for people to stand down, that he’s working on it.

One thing is absolutely clear: The United States of America, for the first time in ages, is completely leaderless. We are now a rudderless ship adrift in a hurricane and at the mercy of wherever the winds and waves take us.

How did things get this far? Simple: Not only are we leaderless, our elected leader is pouring gasoline on an already raging fire. Let’s review some of his tweets over the last two days up to this morning:

Trump blames “liberal” (read as democratic) Governors. The facts are that most protest are taking place in republican run states.

What’s more, while playing the blame game he goes all in and states he’ll send in the military. No call for peace. No call for calm. No call for unity. All Trump can do is blame others and make threats.

Not even 15 minutes later, as the news coverage of the protests continues, he blames the media, as usual:

Within a minute of that post, he makes this post:

This was, of course, completely untrue. Trump makes things up to suit his own narrative as usual.

And like a dog that just saw a squirrel, just three minutes later he posts this:

Trump has been trying desperately to take credit for the SpaceX launch even though it was underway 10 years before he showed up. Trump is simply desperate to have something to brag about as his presidency digresses into a pile of smoldering ash.

Later that night he goes at it again:

Released. The National Guard has been ‘RELEASED’. Not deployed to keep the peace, not stationed to maintain order. Once again Trump uses the nomenclature of the 60’s where dogs were released on innocent protesters.

Remember when we had real presidents? Remember when we had real leadership?

Remember when President Lyndon Johnson used his federal authority to call up the Alabama National Guard?

It wasn’t to ‘RELEASE’ them on black protesters. It was “to supervise a planned civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery.”
President Johnson knew bad things could and in all likelihood would happen. He tried his best to prevent it from happening, unlike Trump who continuously tries as hard as he can to start the carnage rolling.

And we move on:

Yesterday he starts in blaming “the radical left” Antifa. No evidence of any kind. Not one shred of it. But again, it suits his narrative.

And in typical Trump fashion, once he gets an idea in his head he repeats it ad nauseum thinking that if he does it enough it will become true. Never mind that we showed just yesterday that it was more likely the typical white, fat, unemployed Trumpsters that were causing the problems.

I don’t even know where to begin on this one. For those not in the know: Antifa has no leader, no members, no headquarters, no nothing. It is an ideology and nothing more. It’s not like the KKK who have registered members, a headquarters, designated leadership and the like.

So he’s just declared an ideology as a terrorist.

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

And of course minutes later, the obligatory post blaming the media for all of the problems this country is facing. Never mind that some media were being assaulted and locked up by police at the same time other innocents were.

The fact they were black is, of course, PURELY coincidental I’m sure.

Here he goes again. Blaming “the dems” and Joe Biden and thanking himself. What a complete failure of a man this little boy is.

For what, exactly?

See? I can be presidential too!

And this morning after several cities have found white supremacist groups mixing it up, Trump has to come to the defense of those “very fine people” he loves so much:

Fun fact: The GOP invented the Antifa nomenclature in 2017. The Occupy Wall Street movement began in 2011. There was no such thing as Antifa.

Joe Biden and his people were out talking to protesters while you hid like Hitler in a bunker circa 1944.

Hmmmm…coincidence? I think not.

Yes. Absolutely. We all can’t wait for you to suffer the most ridiculously lopsided election victory over an incumbent president in American History.

Yes. Lets blame Joe. Surely, he’s the one in power and poor little you is just helpless to stop it.

Wow. The complete and total failure to see reality in any way, shape or form is actually worrisome.
But what’s more worrisome is that through all of this Trump has done three things:
  • Stoke the fire by threatening and inviting force to be used against protesters.
  • Blamed everybody from a non-organization to his political opponent to the media.
  • Praise himself for the wonderful job he’s doing.
Trump is so far removed from reality that it boggles the mind. To make matters worse, his followers are the same exact way; living in a world of their own making, willfully ignorant of facts.

That’s why the Covid-19 virus is still spreading. It’s why the protests are not only continuing but gaining strength. That’s why more and more people are losing their jobs, homes, livelihoods and more.

Trump has spent the last two nights in a bunker beneath the White House. Last night, he even took the unprecedented step of turning off all the lights like some old, grumpy, worthless home owner too cheap to buy candy for kids on halloween.

I can almost hear him now:

“Shhhhhhhhh!!! Turn off all the lights! Be quiet! They’ll think we’re not home and go away!”

The truth is, he didn’t have to turn off the lights. We all know that there’s nobody there. There hasn’t been since January 22nd, 2017.
