This is starting to make sense now with more and more revealed each day.

It's clear from these messages they were preparing for a fight. It's equally clear they were taking their cues from higher up.

I'm beginning to think it was Roger Stone the entire time, egging them on with fake antifa claims and word from Trump about invoking the insurrection act.

They also clearly say that Pence "appeared to check all the boxes".

It's like they were told exactly what to look for because as it happened it just verified the plans they had been told to make.

Conspiracy does require a step towards achieving the objective.

Example: you and I talk about robbing a bank. That's not conspiracy. But lets say you go out and buy some ski masks and get copies of the blueprints of a local bank. NOW it's a conspiracy because at least one of us has taken an actual step toward making it happen.

In their case, all that talk online is not a conspiracy. But the fact that they all showed up in D.C. on the 6th makes it a conspiracy because they made a step towards what they were talking about doing. What's more, that guy procuring a breast plate and other supplies for the 6th is another example of taking a step towards the goal.

Just talking about it isn't enough. Somebody has to do something towards making it happen. Clearly, they did. You only need one to do it but they pretty much all did.

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
For a seditious conspiracy charge to be effected, a crime need only be planned, it need not be actually attempted.

Unfortunately, that's not what they discussed. They discussed kicking the hell out of antifa. They also discussed doing it together. They never once discussed overthrowing the government.

But since they did discuss working together to do violence, there is an additional conspiracy charge on the table.

The idiot, former, temporary director of the Justice Department that went on 60 minutes an gave an unapproved, illegal interview is wrong. There are no sedition charges on the table for anybody at this point because as far as we know they do not have any evidence that it was ever discussed.

Remember what Michael Cohen said about Trump: He never talks in specific terms, but everybody knows exactly what he's saying.

This is down that road. Unless they can come up with a smoking gun statement of "over-turning the election" or "over-throwing the government" then there will never, ever be a sedition charge filed.

In fact, I'm sure that guy gave that interview on Trump's orders to taint the jury pool, so that those charges would never be filed. That tells me that there are conversations out there that would lead to a sedition charge, but at this point we don't have that at all.
