Pelosi says if you don't 25th him, we will Impeach him immediately!

Correct. It would in all likelihood be overturned.
It’s just my personal belief that a president should not be able to do that. Not because it Trump there now about to do it, but because it turns everything on its head what we stand for upside down. It smashes our constitution, or rule of law, our balance of government, what we stand for, it totally wrecks our checks and balances, defies our sense of right and wrong.

The pardon power was envisioned by the founding fathers as one of the "emperor of Rome's" powers - the ability to show clemency to someone deserving of it.

Example: When defeated, typically the leader of anyone that stood against Rome would be executed along with his entire family. The Caesar could pardon him and his family if he found him to be a decent man who fought honorably.

It was that sort of thing they had in mind. Not pardoning your fellow co-conspirators or yourself after you had robbed the nation blind and threw the entire nation under the bus with gross negligence.

Hopefully, there will be a live feed on-line some where I might be able to watch it ?

Risky. This will interfere big time with the first 100 if mcconnel holds off recalling.
Toomey, (R) is already fudging, thay he thinks trump should be impeached, but then he says, "well, I don't think would should bother with it during the 100 day period or some shit.." You see, those fitly Republicans every time.

It's that inner core 20 senators that do it every time. Just like Bernie said. Grassley, Toomey, Lindsey, Thune, McConnell, Collins, Cruz, Coryn, Rand Paul, Ernst, about 10 others...

McConnell doesn't make any decisions anymore.

But it's already well known that Pelosi wouldn't send the articles over to the Senate for a while to give Biden the time to get his cabinet in place.

Trump will ultimately serve out his term. He'll be impeached by the senate after he leaves office.

All that matters is that the House votes on it by the end of the week. That way, it's forever on Trump's record that he's impeached twice - a first in American history.

McConnell does until the 20th.
He made the decision not to convene the Senate until 19 Jan. He could recall it anytime (you said so yourself this thread) before the scheduled 19th, yet he does NOT.

But, the House will vote on it and then it's said and done.

That's a fair point. IF they truly wanted to Impeach and get rid of Trump and actually remove him, they would reconvene, vote to remove him from office before the 2oth even! IF HE WERE A DEMOCRAT. ;)
