Athens is about 70 miles from Atlanta. That's where UGA (The University of Georgia at Athens) is located. Remember Herschel Walker? That's where he played his football and won the Heisman Trophy and a National Title in 1981.

That's how he nearly got elected to the Senate. Athens pretty much IS Atlanta because of UGA. It's all they talk about - UGA Football.
