Yea I'm starting to slowly move away from that OS so FrankenFukker is growing some big cahones'. 64gigs of DDR4 PC4000 CL15-15-15-36 @1.50v that is down volted to PC3600 CL 14-14-14-34 @ 1.45v. Because of the Timings its virtually the same in results.
Reason for the Gigs? I'm going to be using Zorin Linux for now and then use Virtual Box so I can run other OS's on it instead of the way I have it now. I can use my SATA Drives as secondary storage while having the Zorin OS on a 4th Gen NVME Drive. That NVME I am still looking for.
But the AMD5900OEM just fucking rocks. About 5% slower overall than a 5900X but doing this @65 watts instead of 105watts.
This meant just a simple Bios update and plug it in. No new CPU cooler. No new PSU.
It was beautiful. Who thought that this rig, that out performed LTT's rig back in 2019 would be so upgradeable? Heh I did back then which is why I went with a X570 MB and the 5700/XT with Questionable reviews and built it.
To say if I have buy all new this rig would be over 2000 dollars now. If you break it down, since 2017 I've been spending 35 to 40 bucks per month on my rigs
And of course my G.Skill 32 gigs of memory and maybe my Ryzen 3600 will go into Error 909 so that back up computer will get an upgrade too.
I am hoping everything transitions smoothly in a next few months.
But that is the idea. I'll be bringing an "official" report on FrankenFukker when I have the time.
