Greene allegedly filed two active homestead exemptions in her 2020 Georgia state tax documents, according to WSB-TV. A homestead exemption provides a large tax break for state residents, usually granting a $2,000 exemption from most county and school taxes.

The Fulton County Board of Assessors has said state residents are only legally allowed to claim one residential address for a homestead exemption.

Greene and her husband allegedly filed for two exemptions by listing two different residences in two different counties. One residence is located in Fulton County, the county which contains the state capital of Atlanta. The other residence is located in Floyd County, a region located in the state's northwest corner.

You know why, don't you?

It wasn't for tax purposes. She represents the 14th district, which is where Floyd County is. They never stay there. They stay at their high end place in Buckhead (in Fulton County). They only have the place in Floyd so they could run her unopposed for Congress.

They don't care about any tax issue. They'll gladly pay a fine and move on.

To tell you how bad she is though, she only got 74% of the vote and she was running unopposed. That means that people actually went in writing down any name they could think of, even their own, because they hate her guts.

So out of all counted votes(?) only 74% were for her even though no one else was technically on the ballot except write-ins?

True. But if she hadn't listed that residence she wouldn't have been able to run for congress. You have to live in the district that you're running to represent.

So I'm sure they were well aware it would be a conflict. I'm of the opinion they didn't care because they have the money to pay the fines and amend the return.

No chance of her being declared unfit (and removed) due to the conflict?

Nope. You'd have to be literally stark raving mad and even then it probably wouldn't happen.

It's only been done 5 times in history, 3 of them at the same time in 1861.

Last time it happened was 2002 when democrat James Traficant was ejected. He had been convicted on ten counts including bribery, conspiracy to defraud the United States, corruption, obstruction of justice, tax evasion, and racketeering.

He wasn't ejected even when he was charged. It was after he was convicted and was awaiting sentencing.

That's why all these people thinking Matt Gaetz or MTG are going to be expelled are in for disappointment.
