John Hopkins study and fellow co-worker

I stopped by the hardware store yesterday to get some stuff for a shelf system I'm putting up in my room and this is no shit. They had a sign on the door that you must wear a mask to get in. So no problem I've got my mask. I walk in and I'm going to the screws and nuts and bolts section and the guy there has a face shield but it's up on top of his head and he ask if he can help me. I'm like yeah! put on a mask! So he says "I have a face sheild becuase I don't like the mask" and I fire back "yeah well it doesn't do you or me a shitload of good when its sitting on top of you fucking head"!

So the manager comes over and he's not wearing a mask either asking if he could help. And he's an older guy too and I just stand there staring in disbelief at these morons. I mean serious WHAT THE FUCK?

Wait til you come across that fucking "food and beverage server mask" monstrosity.

It's the little screen that sits on the chin:

I mean like WFT? Seriously??

Are people that dumb to believe this does anything?
A fellow at the gas station was wearing one of those the other day. I yelled out, "Hey man! You trying to keep from drooling on yourself or what?"

He gave me the bird.

You'd be well advised to do no such thing. You can be terminated for putting up unauthorized signs on college property.
Ah, but what I could do is ask for them to supply me with their "Authorized mask signs, and tell them there are people in my area which are not getting the memo, or are disregarding it." Have them deliver me some in the campus mail system etc.

You would be amazed how many places down here don't have that. It's simply stunning. The pharmacy (Walgreen's) has it. The package store (liquor) has it.

Kroger, one of the largest grocery chains there is, does not.

The dysfunctionality of the situation is amazing. With Trump allowing business to be in charge, to call the shots, no leadership, and a disjointed fail mentality it’s no wonder we are in the star of affairs we are in.

So, Finally my supervisor called and said he would be back to work 1 day before our holiday break period would begin.

I went ahead and explained to him the situation of what the one employee was doing.

You know what the response was ? “Oh, well he probably doesn’t mean it. He’s probably just joking saying those things, etc”. To which I replied, “He was very genuine and honest, in fact he practices what he preaches, and has been for awhile. “ I said, “the worse days are yet to come, and we have a new strain now, and we have someone who is professing that test are false positives, failed John Hopkins studies were correct which were removed from the web, mask cause legions on the face, people are just going to get sick, like always etc and he’s not going to wear a mask etc.

And, this supervisor says nothing, which who just got done got done being out for 12 days over being exposed to someone who has it.

And, yes he’s a Trump supporter too.

A pretty sorry state of affairs.

Typical.

Everybody acts like there's nothing going on that it's no big deal.

Until they're in the hospital on a ventilator about to die. Then of course they're crying on Facebook and Twitter that they wished they had taken it more seriously.

Unbelievable.
