January 6th Committee.

Let's be realistic here. The information is already in the governments hand and has been from the get go (NSA). I'm willing to bet the algorithm has already been run (it would be a simple data sorter with finer geo gates). This announcement is so no one can claim they didn't know it was going to happen.

Remember, it was more then ten years ago now that the UAE intelligence service did exactly the same thing with a mobile 26 member Israeli assassination squad. The technology to fast sort this information is already available and more highly refined then the last time we saw it publicly employed by a government.

Unfortunately, absolutely none of that is true. Our system doesn't work that way.

When they applied for all of that information from all of those carriers, all of those carriers had to notify all of the parties concerned so that their lawyers would be able to file injunctions, appeals, requests to show cause, etc.

They applied for all of that back at the end of July. They are JUST NOW ACTUALLY GETTING IT 5 months later. The problem with that is that the people whose information they applied for are all little fish. The only thing they're going to see is who those people called and it's only going to be from November of 2020 to February of 2021.

They are not allowed to "run algorithms" and the like. They literally have to look at the paperwork. That's how committees work. Right now they probably have 100 staffers going through it all building spread sheets much like an old style police cork board setup.

It's going to take them more than likely a few weeks to get through all of that.

Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that all of that leads to a few members of congress' numbers coming up over and over again (which it will). They'll then have to subpoena those same companies for that information.

That's going to start yet another 6 to 8 months of lawyer appeals, hearings, show cause applications, etc.

By the time all of that is settled, it will be election day 2022. The democrats are more than likely going to lose both houses to the republicans. The republicans will then come in day one, disband the committee and lock up all of those documents in the same room with the JFK assassination reports.

They should have applied for ALL OF THOSE records at the same time. They didn't because like Biden covering for president Trump, they are covering for the republicans that took part in the insurrection.

They are all in on it together trying to sweep it all under the rug for "the good of the country". It's the only plausible explanation I can think of for such a complete bungling of this entire thing from day one.

Well, sadly, it's true. If you need speed, precision, technology then you get the FBI to do it.

If you want it all on paper and drawn out over a period so long that most of those involved are dead by the end, you get a congressional panel to do it.

Oh boy. The shit is getting deep.

Members of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol believe that former Texas Governor and Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry was the author of a text message sent to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows the day after the 2020 election pushing an "AGRESSIVE (sic) STRATEGY" for three state legislatures to ignore the will of their voters and deliver their states' electors to Donald Trump, three sources familiar with the House Committee investigation tell CNN.

A spokesman for Perry told CNN that the former Energy Secretary denies being the author of the text.

That's not surprising at all. But, and there is always a but:

Multiple people who know Rick Perry confirmed to CNN that the phone number the committee has associated with that text message is Perry's number.

The cell phone number the text was sent from, obtained from a source knowledgeable about the investigation, appears in databases as being registered to a James Richard Perry of Texas, the former governor's full name.

The number is also associated in a second database as registered to a Department of Energy email address associated with Perry when he was secretary. When told of these facts, the spokesman had no explanation.

Yeah. That's not surprising either.

Now Mo Brooks is doing the old Potomac Two-step:

Alabama Republican Congressman Mo Brooks on Saturday released a text message he received from "Stop the Steal" organizer Ali Alexander in the run-up to Jan. 6, according to Politico reporter Kyle Cheney.
"Congressman, this is Ali Alexander," the message stated. "I am the founder of Stop the Steal, the protests happening in all 50 states. We met years ago back in 2010, during the tea party when you were first elected. I texted the wrong number. I had intended to invite you to our giant Saturday prayer rally in DC, this past weekend. Also Gen. (Michael) Flynn should be giving you a ring. We stand ready to help. Jan 6th is a big moment in our republic."
Brooks released the text message after Alexander revealed that he had been in communication with the congressman prior to Jan. 6 — both in testimony before a House committee investigating the Capitol insurrection, and in a lawsuit filed Friday seeking to keep his cell-phone records secret.
Alexander has also said in a since-deleted video that he worked with Brooks, as well as Arizona GOP Reps. Paul Gosar and Rep. Andy Biggs, "to attempt to use Congress’ Jan. 6 session certifying Biden’s victory as a chance to pressure lawmakers to overturn the electoral results," according to Politico.
In a lengthy statement released Saturday, Brooks' office called the text message "100 percent benign," and said the congressman's cell phone "did not recognize the sender." The statement also said that "to the best of Brooks' knowledge," the phone call from Flynn to which Alexander alluded "never happened."
