YES, I do. I see it.The problem is that people expect the VA to be a money maker or break even service. It isn't. It was never designed to be, much like the United States Postal Service.
And when you have perpetual war for decades at a time involving hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of soldiers, your costs are never, ever going to plateau. They're only going to get exponentially worse.
If you can't afford to take care of all the soldiers then you shouldn't be going to war. It's that simple. We're spending 240 billion dollars a year on the VA right now but the new defense budget is around 750 billion. Three times that amount.
See an issue there?
The VA, was never meant to be a profit making machine. It was never designed to be as such. It was designed to serve veterans and to take care of them.
It is a Socialist endeavor, plain and simple. It was from the very start. It always has been. Over the years the republicans, who knows maybe even some democrats along the way? Have tried this budgetary game of money chips$ to make something else out of it etc.
But, it's just not going to work that way.
Let it be what it is. Let run as it's designed to run, properly. Let it be best, at what's it's designed to be. Take care of the vets, that's the bottom line here. Just try to avoid ridiculous outrageous stupid shit moon shots off the top of the roof of the VA, and then try to call it entertainment for vets. You know something stupid like that
