I never really played tanks in War Thunder, so I decided to take a look and see how it was.
First off, on the installer, it had a new option to download the Ultra HD client and graphics. It's 100 gb to do it all. It is well worth it. The game looks absolutely incredible.
What's more, it's a LOT more like driving a real tank than WoT is.
The down side is that it is really, really hard to play. I can't see anything. There's no "outline" to help you and you don't have "spotting" that lights someone up if you yourself have no line of sight.
Getting one shot is routine.
I lost 9 games in a row, but at the same time it doesn't feel as rigged. You hit what you aim at more times than not, but if you don't hit things the right way they WILL bounce every single time. You just have to hit them before they hit you and aim better than they do, and being new to this I am no good at it at all.
Game play video is taken in 1080, so it does it no justice at all as to how good it really looks. You'll hear me take about 8 rounds to the front that all just bounce. They finally harpoon me in the side.
