So here's the skinny - A bunch of conservatives came up with this bill and were actually proud of the fact that it would be the most restrictive marijuana legislation in the country. Think about that shit for a second. They were proud that it would be essentially useless. What the ever loving fuck?

So not to be thought of as completely fucking moronic for introducing such a shit bill on marijuana, the bastards then turn around and filibuster their own fucking bill! I shit you not! You can't make this stuff up. So what's probably going to happen is this bill will be set ablaze and then local voters will start putting forward their own bills next year.

I love this state. The country and all. But god fucking damn the people running it still live in caves and draw buffalo on the fucking walls.

Like the doctors giving sworn testimony to congress back in the 60's that smoking was perfectly healthy and didn't cause cancer.

Actually he was using the "milk is a gateway" in an argument for a reduction in cannabis laws and penalties. His statement was to the effect that "cannabis is as much of a gateway drug as milk is a gateway to alcohol."

I don't get that at all.

I believe he means the republicans making all the noise will be the same ones sitting as major shareholders in corporations that establish themselves.

It's the exact scenario that happened up here. Ex-police chiefs, ex- RCMP leadership, ex-politicians are all on the boards or are major shareholders in the cannabis companies being established up here (and already you hear discussions of buyouts by American corporations).

In fact Kevin O'Leary (sharktank's Mr. Wonderful) is already openly discussing investments into what he considers the up and coming hot ip - pharmaceuticals from class 1 narcotics as potential medical and physiological psychological treatments. You can dam well bet the politicians are already making sure they get first buy-ins.
