First Indoor Grow

I don't get it. What's wrong with it?

It's male and I'm not looking to produce seeds (yet). So it gets got cut down and offered to the Big Green Bin (county compost).
Since I'm using non-feminized seeds (not guaranteed female) I have a 50/50 chance of producing a male.

I have been mulling over growing a male outside to actually pollinate some females for seeds. And I know I can "feminize"** the seeds myself, it's the fact that all bud is non-smoke-able in the end so the crop is fully dedicated to female seed production.

Or, I can do like everyone else and buy feminized seeds. One or two provinces sell clones in the spring but not ours.

OR you could just start cloning one of your existing female plants.

Problem with that though is you wind up growing all the time which is way more than you'll ever use.

That's why I just buy the feminized seeds. Eliminates the hassle.

I have been debating throwing the other plant back into veg. It looks good and it's only been 8 - 9 days so far. It could re-veg and at least I could pull clones for the summer before i flip it again.

Alright. We've kept the one plant going into bloom and it's been just over two weeks. The bud sites are starting to get height.

I've also read this is a good time for clones. So, some smaller branches under foliage have now become an experiment in cloning.
There were treated with a rooting hormone and placed under 18 hr/day lights. I'm expecting some strange leaf formations while the plant starts roots and returns to a growth state vice flowering state.
If this works then the outdoor grow is guaranteed four ladies.
