Synthetic cannabidiol, better known as CBD, has been shown for the first time to kill the bacteria responsible for gonorrhoea, meningitis and legionnaires disease.
The research collaboration between IMB's Centre for Superbug Solutions and Botanix Pharmaceuticals Limited could lead to the first new class of antibiotics for resistant bacteria in 60 years.

Interesting.

Big Pharma stopped researching antibiotics because they aren't big money makers.

That's one of the biggest reasons to remove Marijuana from schedule one: to allow unfettered research to establish some of these claims.

How amazing. Maybe, in those Marajana plants we can find a cure for the capitalist impulse that’s causing all the ailments of our society.

That would truly be earth shattering! And Fascinating.

That's the damnable shame of it all: It's the schedule one that prohibits anybody from ever doing genuine research on it. So most of what we know about marijuana comes from other nations research, which is also why many American bodies that are anti-marijuana discredit any claims of medicinal purposes: because we didn't do the research ourselves.

It's a complete cluster of bull. The sooner it's off schedule one, the better off everybody but Big Pharma is going to be.
