New research shows that marijuana legalization in Canada “was not associated with evidence of significant changes in cannabis-induced psychosis or schizophrenia emergency department presentations”.

I believe if you are already susceptible it may increase the risk of attack, but getting straight-up psychosis or schizophrenia from cannabis is pure hokey court-room defense speculation.

I had a cousin convince several older aunts and uncles he went to hard drugs because of marijuana when the fucking pathways are not even the same. I called out his sorry ass.
I had to drag out an old FBI director talking to Congress(?) that marijuana was a s much of a gateway drug as milk is to alcoholics to finally straighten up my mother..

I've never believed in any such thing as a gateway drug. I was around drugs most of my life.

People try a drug because they want to get high and they wind up getting hooked on it. They typically only try another because they either can't find their drug of choice at the time or can no longer afford it.

Nobody does crack because they were lead there by another drug. They do it because they can't afford the good coke.

Nobody does fentanyl because they were lead there by another drug. They do it because they can't get their hands on any Oxycontin.
