President Joe Biden on Monday was caught on a hot microphone using an epithet to describe a reporter who asked him a question about inflation during a White House event on lowering prices for American families.

About an hour later, Biden phoned Fox News reporter Peter Doocy to say, “It was nothing personal, man.”

Doocy told Fox’s Sean Hannity on Monday night: “I appreciated it. We had a nice call.

“And we went back and forth, and we were talking about just kind of moving forward,” Doocy said, “and I made sure to tell him that I’m always gonna try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking. And he said, ‘You got to.’ And that’s a quote from the president, so I’ll keep doing it.”
