Well, it's a LOT harder than the older versions of the game. Trading means a lot more and a lot of technologies overlap from one thing to another. What you do in one building can have an effect on another. Terrain makes a difference now and the type of unit you use on a given terrain makes a TON of difference.
The game is simply beautiful to look at in every way. Even the menu's are very, very well done.
And the game is just as good looking.
